On our second day at our new home we headed to the supermarket late in the afternoon to get some basic food stuff which consisted of the following:
a dozen eggs
canned goods - Maling, pork & beans, sausage, and sardines
vinegar, soy sauce, Maggi savor
salt and pepper
cheese, peanut butter, butter
some veggies - calamansi, tomato, carrots, onions, garlic and cucumber
brown sugar
coffee and juice
a loaf of bread
hotdog and cold cuts
additional cleaning aids and toiletries
We already brought in rice, rock salt and white sugar when our landlady turned over the keys. Tradition dictates that the first things to bring inside one's new home are: a statue or image of Jesus, a jar of rock salt, a jar of white sugar and water.

We Have Tied the Knot!
After so many months of preparation and the perfect proposal Jay and I tied the knot last December 26, 2009, at Mary the Queen Parish. A simple and fun reception followed at the North Greenhills Clubhouse.
We planned this blog months ago and was supposed to launch it last Saturday but we, uh, got busy. Hey, we're newlyweds so we're doing what newlyweds are supposed to do! We hope that we'll be able to chronicle how we're setting everything up so we can help other newlyweds and engaged couples too.
Here's our fabulous wedding video done by famous wedding videographer, Buddy Gancenia.
